Hi everyone. Recently my water heater busted and leaked all over my floor. I guess there was a slow leak before the sudden burst so my insurance company will not pay anything at all. SOOOO we must sell some of our belongings to raise the funds for a new sub floor and water heater.

*Dodge Ram 1991 13 passenger Cargo Van. It works but not sure how well. Has a few dents and the paint has chipped off. It isn't the greatest thing to look at but it has potential. We were going to keep it for a camping van and put a bed in the back of it that's how big it is. It MUST GO. $700 obo.

*Kirby Vacuum "Sentria" It is also a carpet steam cleaner. AMAZING suction. Well worth the money. Asking what I still owe on it $1500

*Bagless Eureka Vacuum. It is a small one only 3 lbs great for a small apartment or dorm room. $10

*Queen size water bed wood frame. $40

*Queen size mattress and box frame good condition. $20

*Retro TV. One of the old TVs that sit in a solid wood casing. Works beautifully. Will need a universal remote. $40

*Sofa cover. Tan color with tie fronts and backs. Faux suede. $10

*Dishwasher. Older probably from the late 80's. It worked when I removed it from the house. It has been sitting in my van for a year now. $10

*2 rocking chairs. Green upholstering. Very comfortable. One tilts a little sometimes $15 for the 2

Thrash anyone?

Hello, I'm moving up to the area in a few months and I was just curious, what kind of music is going on up there? I play drums, guitar, and bass, and I also record. I'm up for any kind of jam session, or even starting a band. Any kind of music, hell, polka! Bring it on! But if there must be a prefrence, I'm down with the thrash, propagandhi, I-spy, True North. I'm moving from the Gainsville Florida area, which as you may or may not know is home to good ol' bands such as Hot Water Music, Against Me!, Strikeforce Diablo. It's also home to No Idea Records, which again, you may or may not know about.

Of course it doesn't have to be thrash, I don't care! I just want to play and record music with some cool people!

Hey there Alaska -

Jenga from NYC here. I just booked a flight to Anchorage to catch the band String Cheese Incident up in Anchorage in mid July and I was hoping some of you locals can suggest things to do in and around Anchorage while I'm there. I'll only be there for 3 and half days and am looking for day trip activies as well as one all day adventure.

I'm also very interested in a FLIGHTSEEING tour but wanted to know are they really worth it? Whats the best company to use? Best place to see via airplane?

hey Everybody PLANTING SEEDS is back! PS is the first band I ever brought to
Alaska over 5 years ago. This will be there 5th trip to the 49th state. They
have been compared to Sublime but with two lead singers The Seeds are able
to take the music to new levels and add a hip-hop flavor that truely makes
them in a league of thier own.

All three shows start at 10pm with Thursday night being a free show and Fri
& Sat the house cover charge will apply ($3 - $5).

The ANC Podcast goes national

Hey all!

The ANC podcast, showcasing local alaskan musicians and bands, has been selected to become a part of a nationally promoted network of music podcasts. It's a hell of an honor, and it will jump our numbers of subscribers up in a HUGE way. We already get 50 - 100 subscribers and downloads per episode, around the world. We should see numbers of 300 - 500 in the coming months. In addition, some heavy hitter podcasts will be hearing the music, and will no doubt begin to grab some of the great stuff that's produced here in AK for their own podcasts.

So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE utilize this great new avenue of promotion. If you are a local label and you want to get your artists' music out, email or call me and let's get them on the podcast. If you are an independent artist, get me your music. You can mail it, email it, post it on a website, whatever! If you want exposure, this is the way to do it. - Go Go Dancing (this is not stripping...ever seen a diva on a block at a dance club?)

I've read some bad reviews on the net 'bout this tour, how it's a fifties revival show in the style of the misfits? But they have a dude from black flag and the ramones with Jerry Only. I think the price will be a definite factor for me to go or not.

ok...so this is PAST date, but it was a huge scene! there were workshops and 3 stages for bands and singers and DJ's. it was free and while you couldn't get a decent drink, the music was great.

i danced all night saturday to the Matt Lewis Band. he got Sweating Honey and some other guys to join him.

friday wasn't AS MUCH fun, but i'm a snob.

it was just this past weekend 4/15-17....and you might have missed it...but it was good....
