Hear a bit of buzz about Anchorage bands doing a benefit concert for the Gulf Coast hurricane victims - anyone heard of this or know where things stand? I'm going to follow up with my source tonight, but wanted to see if this was just a whisper in the crowd or a general murmer, or what...
Seems a shame if this idea died on the vine...

Re: Benefit Buzz
Wed, October 26, 2005 - 9:42 PMYeah, theres gonna be a rock show in mid to late November at the Stage in South Anchorage High School. All proceeds go to the Red Cross to help out with the slue of natural disasters that have hit our planet lately. The show is very early in development seeing as how I have to work around the school district to get access to that stage, but it WILL happen.
The show will feature Nightlife (an alt./jazz/prog project featuring ex-members of Taking To Arms, Memento Mori, and Tryst), Zac Simpson, Barnicle, and others.
My name is Ken. I'm organizing this thing, so if you need more info feel free to email me.
Hope that helped.
